Music Therapy for All

Therapy should be equitable, accessible, and normalized.

Music Therapy Access Fund makes music therapy in Texas more accessible by funding music therapy grants and music therapy intern scholarships.

    What is music therapy?

     “Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.” (AMTA, 2010).

    Who

    Music therapists work with people of all ages and diagnoses including, but not limited to, intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism, mental health diagnoses, traumatic brain injuries, dementia, and much more.

    Where

    Music therapists work in many settings including private practices, hospitals, schools, mental health facililities, rehabiliation facitilies, and more.

    How

    Music therapy is funded in part by Medicaid waivers, private insurance, and by generous donors like you that make music therapy accessible for all!
